Followap Completes Interoperability Testing at OMA TestFest
Demonstrating commitment to open standards

London, United Kingdom – 15 March 2006

Followap, the pioneer of presence and instant messaging solutions for service providers, today announced it has successfully completed interoperability testing against the key Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) enabler implementations for Presence at the OMA’s 12th TestFest in Montreal.

The series of tests demonstrated that Followap’s Presence Platform, iFollow PSP, interoperates according to the OMA Presence 1.0 and OMA XDM 1.0 Enablers with applications and services over various industry leading IMS platforms.

Followap builds its products to meet industry standards and to ensure application vendors can quickly deploy new services without costly engineering efforts.

Mark Shteiman, Senior Director of Presence Platforms at Followap comments, “We are committed to provide our customers with proven interfaces between their IM and Presence based systems and other operators’ systems.  Our stringent adherence to open industry standards has been a key factor in successfully deploying our solutions in 17 operator networks to date. The OMA TestFest results provide the evidence of our products’ capability in meeting the OMA specifications.”

Fred Harrison, Chair of the Board’s IOP committee at the Open Mobile Alliance adds, “Interoperability testing is a cornerstone of the OMA process and plays an important role in the engineering efforts of OMA member companies such as Followap for the successful rollout of new mobile services.”

“Businesses participating in OMA TestFests can use the results to ensure that their customers receive high quality products with a short time to market,” concluded Harrison.
